What is creativity to you? Do you consider yourself to be creative? Why or why not?

Creativity is the art of finding solutions in an unexpected way. We have to be creative to survive. Not just because we have to pay the rent, but mostly because we’re half-dead and bored without it.

How would you like to be remembered?

As badass grandparents who smiled a lot, sang out loud, drank good wine, and frequented nudist beaches.

Do you ever create hidden meanings or messages in your work? Explain.

We try to hide some movie references or internal jokes in our work and then just wait to see if someone notices.

What made you decide to follow a creative career choice (though possibly risky) rather than something more stable?

The risk! The game! The freedom! Nothing is written down for you, and we both have to discover a lot of new ground to reach a sustainable balance.

When was the first time that you remember realizing that you are a creative person?

Ondrej: Taking the disposable camera as a kid and shooting all the postcards I liked from the newsstand at our family holiday. Jitka: I have lots of VHS evidence thanks to my dad, so I have seen myself drawing, singing, performing, and playing musical instruments since I was 2 or 3 years old.

Does your work convey a specific emotion or message?

Being yourselves and free of any judgment. We definitely go after this one.

Who is the most creative person that you have ever known?

We don’t think that there is something like the term "most creative". There are many types of creativity, not just in the art field. We love to keep our minds open to all creative sources.

After these years of working on your craft, do you still feel the joy of doing what you do?

The journey is the goal. Learning, improving, and discovering new horizons is fun, so definitely yes.

What do you intend to achieve through your work?

Live in freedom and make people happy. Yes, kitsch as f*ck, but it’s true. (please, can you put this as the last one?)

Do you believe art should deliver a message?

Yes, but it should be more like a conversation. Life experience, mood, and willingness to listen will vary greatly depending on what you're going to get from it.
