Who are you? Describe yourself in a few words.

Just your average dude from the North East of England. I grew up in the countryside with a huge passion for sports! I worked in sports development for 15 years before finding my way into photography in my late 20s! I haven’t looked back and will ride the wave as long as it lasts! It’s the best job I’ve ever had!

Outside of work, I still live in the Durham countryside with my wife, Sara, and my whippet, Albie. As long as I can feed Albie, spend time with the family, and escape for a few weekends away over the summer in the camper van, I’m content!

What in your personal life has influenced you to choose your career?

I picked up a camera because I loved skate and snowboard photography! I had dreams of shooting for snowboard magazines! Unfortunately, I didn’t know anyone who was a pro snowboarder, nor did I live anywhere near the mountains! Somehow I fell into wedding photography after learning to properly use a camera! I wouldn’t change it for the world; I’ve met some really incredible people on this journey!

How would you like to be remembered?

Just as a good person to my family and friends!

Have you always wanted to do what you are doing?

No! Never! If you had told me I’d be a wedding photographer, I would have laughed! I fell into wedding photography through a friend. I was an usher at a mate’s wedding and met a wonderful lass called Helen, who was shooting the wedding. Helen took me under her wing for a year, and I fell in love with shooting weddings. It’s such a joyous happy occasion, how can you not love it?

What is your mission in this life?

To make sure my dog is warm, happy, and healthy!
