Who are you? Describe yourself in a few words.

I’m Fanni — I grew up in Hungary, spent some time living in Sweden, and now I'm based in Germany. With an academic background in psychology, visual communication, and media, I established my photography business after graduating.

Having lived in Sweden, my definition of style has reached a whole new level. I can't resist exploring stores filled with design magazines and art books. My love for homemade pasta knows no bounds. I always carry a small film camera with me, and my Martini is a must with olives.

Above all, I feel grateful for the opportunity to do what I love: creating memories for future generations.

What in your personal life has influenced you to choose your career?

Realising that time flies. Witnessing my grandparents and parents getting older made me want to hold onto many memories with them, and photography gives me a tool to preserve these moments. Not only for myself, but for future generations as well.

For my grandmother’s 80th birthday, I crafted a photo album as a gift. I delved into four family archives, gathering the best photographs spanning her life from newborn to today. I scanned and digitized the pictures, creating a thoughtfully designed layout for an expansive book — a book encapsulating her life. A rich tapestry of families, friendships, romances, war and peace, fashion, food, vacations, celebrations, engagements, weddings, travels, and goodbyes. It’s all there, in the photographs.

It’s a privilege for me to contribute to that — to my couples’ books, their personal history.
Because we seek to remember and to be remembered.

How would you like to be remembered?

A kind and creative soul, a loving wife, an honest friend, a hard-working creative entrepreneur.

Does your work convey a specific emotion or message?

I’m looking for the beauty in the unscripted. My work is genuine, I focus as much on the smaller, in-between moments as on the loud and obvious. Some say it’s documentary with a pinch of editorial approach, others describe it as authentic, modern yet timeless.

Ultimately, my goal is to preserve how it all felt — so in a way, I think my work is good if it is able to convey a huge range of emotions, presented in a tasteful and evocative style.
